The Uses of Flowers
1      There are many flowers found in Singapore such as Rose,
2 Sunflower and many more. Flowers have many uses. Flowers such as
3 Rose are commonly used to give their loved ones such as wife, mother,
4 girlfriend and many more. Men usually give roses to the women. Some
5 children also give their mother flowers during Mother's Day or
6 sometimes children give flowers to their father during Father's Day,
7 but seldoms children give their father flowers.
8      By giving roses, women will feel happy that there is someone
9 who loves her very much and care for her. Some flowers such as
10 frangipani or white coloured flowers were used to put on the grave
11 of the dead especially the Chinese. Chinese people often put flowers
12 on the grave of their loved ones. Malays also does this but the colour
13 of the flower is mixed. Flowers are mixed, yellow, white, red or even
14 Rose were mixed into one plastic bag and they will put
15 the flowers on the grave. Flowers can also be used to decorate
16 our homes, a plastic flower or a living one. By putting flowers
17 in our homes, homes will be more lively and attractive. But
18 if the flower is not a plastic one then we have to take care
19 of it so that it will grow healthily. I still think that Rose is
20 the most beautiful flower of all. As I am a girl, I prefer Roses
21 than others. Flowers are also grown on some parks to beautify
22 the place. By growing flowers on the parks, people who
23 come and jog or just passing by will enjoy the scenery there.
24 This will beautify the place and attract more people to come
25 and enjoy the beautiful and fantastic place in the park.
26      Bees or other insects usually likes to suck the nectar
27 of the flowers because it taste sweet. This is also one of the
28 uses. Flowers will then reproduce and more flowers or baby
29 ones will grow.
30      I think that if more flowers are grown, Singapore
31 will be a nice and beautiful place to live in.
