The Use of Flowers | |
| Flowers are abundant in this world. There are many varieties of flowers that could be found in this |
| ecological world. Some are strange such as the mimosa and the periwinkle. Some bear fruit such as the papaya |
| flower. Some can be eaten as a whole such as the chrysanthemens. But whatever the case, flowers tend to bring a |
| sense of cheeriness and happiness to whoever holds it and planted it stronght from the start as a seed. This |
| is a pricelss quality that can only be obtained from years of tenderly loving care of looking after it. |
| Flowers is often used as a decoration to a sweet home. Flowers tend to make even a small home |
| into a comfy one with its colourful and cheery look. Popular ones such as the violets that are easy to plant |
| can be a pastime for people who likes to see results of their work. Roses and hibiscus that are harder to |
| plant are seldom seen in the houses of residents in HDB flats. This is because the flowers must receive regular |
| sunlight and water as it tends to wither for about a month. That is why they are commonly seen in semi- |
| detached or bigger houses. Flowers can also be given to the relatives of people who passed away. The plain |
| and white frangipani is often used for this occassions. It symbolises the mourning and feeling of sadness |
| or grievances of the bearer. Flowers can sometimes be seen for happy couples. They sometimes give |
| flowers to one another as a symbl of love. Roses are ideal as it is red and the colour is often |
| described as a universal colour of a loving heart. Bunch of flowers are sold by florists during |
| Valentine's day as the result of a lovestruck heart which happen to be the happiest occasion of |
| someone's life. |
